DAY 1 Arrival in Sydney, Australia
On arrival in Sydney, you are met by our Latitude South representative and privately driven to your stunning, beautifully located accommodation.
DAY 2 in Sydney(Breakfast & lunch included today)
Following a sleep-in this morning after yesterday’s international arrival, join your wonderful local guide for a fun and informative cycling tour of central Sydney – a great way to orient yourself and learn about the city’s must-see and do’s.
DAY 3 in Sydney(Breakfast & lunch included today)
Accompanied by your expert local guide, venture in to the magnificent Blue Mountains World Heritage Area for a full day of exploring and hiking in this wonderful wilderness region. Wildlife sightings may include kangaroos, iguana lizards and the myriad of colorful native birdlife.
DAY 4 in Sydney / Ayers Rock(Breakfast included today)
Following breakfast this morning you will be met by your driver and transferred to the airport for your flight deep into the Outback for an unforgettable encounter with Ayers Rock. On arrival, you’ll be met and privately transferred to your comfortable accommodation.
DAY 5 in Ayers Rock(Breakfast & dinner included today)
This morning you will be collected for your Aboriginal guided morning tour of Uluru and the Liru Walk. On the famous Liru Walk you will retrace the path of the Liru Ancestors through the bushland near Uluru. Prior to dinnertime this evening, you will be met for your incredible hike around the base of Ayers Rock itself including a delicious picnic dinner as you experience dusk in this amazing part of Australia (hike is subject to daylight hours and temperature conditions).
DAY 6 in Ayers Rock / Port Douglas(Breakfast included today)
This morning you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the Ayers Rock Airport. From Ayers Rock, you will depart the ‘Red Centre’ and travel in a north-easterly direction to the Tropical North Queensland centre of Cairns. On arrival in Cairns, you will be met and privately transferred to the stunning settlement of Port Douglas – where the tropical rainforest meets the sea and to your well-appointed, perfectly situated accommodation.
DAY 7 in Port Douglas(Breakfast & lunch included today)
This morning, you will be collected from your accommodation for your amazing, privately guided day tour in this, one of the world’s most ancient Rainforests with your local Aboriginal guide. Your expertly guided tour includes visits to a number of culturally significant areas and a light, engaging educational introduction into the strong relationships the Kuku Yalanji (Rainforest People) still have with their land.
DAY 8 in Port Douglas(Breakfast & lunch included today)
This morning, you will be collected from your accommodation for your magical day cruise out to the Low Isles area of the Great Barrier Reef onboard one of the region’s most luxurious sailing catamarans including all snorkeling equipment.
DAY 9 in Port Douglas(Breakfast included today)
Today is yours to delight in this stunning tropical location at leisure. Suggestions for rafting, ziplining and hiking will be made based on your adventure activity preferences.
DAY 10 in Port Douglas / Melbourne(Breakfast included today)
This morning you will be transferred south, to the Cairns Domestic Airport for your flight to wonderful Melbourne. On arrival, you will collect your late model, automatic rental vehicle and make your way to your superb accommodation.
DAY 11 in Melbourne / Cape Otway(Breakfast & dinner included today)
One of the most beautiful coastal drives in the world, the Great Ocean Road stretches 550 km along the southern coast of Victoria. Travel it and you will discover some of the world’s most inspiring scenery, an ever-changing hinterland and charming towns and hamlets. Marvel at the huge cliffs, roaring seas, tranquil coves, magnificent waterfalls and secluded beaches. Following this beautiful and interesting drive down to Cape Otway, you will arrive at your stunning and very unique accommodation where dinner will be served and a night walk is included looking for wildlife with the in-house conservationist.
DAY 12 in Cape Otway(Breakfast, lunch & dinner included today)
Today is yours to delight in this, one of the Victoria coastlines primary wilderness regions. With the convenience of your rental vehicle, we encourage you to venture in to the spectacular Great Otway National Park, a fantastic area for hiking and viewing many species of native Australian wildlife. In addition to the Otways, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about Australia’s native animals whilst at the Ecolodge. Sited within The Conservation Ecology Centre, your base at the Lodge allows you to learn about the efforts of this impressive organization. The Conservation Ecology Centre was founded to create a secure and natural future for Australia’s precious wildlife including koalas and quolls. The Centre’s mission is to inspire confidence in the future through effective, innovative and engaging approaches to conserving wildlife and the ecosystems on which they depend.
DAY 13 in Cape Otway / Halls Gap(Breakfast & dinner included today)
This morning you will depart Cape Otway and commence your drive inland to the one-of-a-kind Grampians region and the tiny settlement of Halls Gap (approx. 4.5 hours driving time). En route to Halls Gap you’ll travel through the thick bushland that dominates the central Victoria coast and ultimately in to the southern Outback and the inimitable Grampians region.
DAY 14 in Halls Gap(Breakfast & dinner included today)
This morning, we recommend picking up a picnic lunch from the lovely little Halls Gap Bakery prior to heading in to the Grampians National Park and to the Wonderland Carpark. From here, you will commence the walk to The Pinnacle. Suitable for those with average to good fitness, the track involves rock steps, several seasonal water crossings and some rock hopping.
DAY 15 in Halls Gap / Melbourne(Breakfast included today)
Today you will depart the Halls Gap and Grampians region and travel in an easterly direction, through the richly historic city of Ballarat, to Melbourne. Upon arrival, your rental vehicle will be dropped off and you will check in to your beautifully appointed accommodation.
DAY 16 in Melbourne
This morning you will join your friendly, knowledgeable local guide for your fantastic 4-hour, small group guided bike tour of this totally distinctive and exciting city. While on tour, you’ll see more in a few hours than most see in days. Get your bearings as you explore Melbourne’s grooviest streets, parks, shops, cafes, hidden laneways and multicultural areas. Experience real Melbourne hospitality and sample some gourmet treats on this leisurely ride with your local guide. It’s the perfect way to start any Melbourne visit.
DAY 17 in Melbourne(Lunch included today)
This morning your guide will meet you at your hotel for commencement of your full day Yarra Valley food and wine journey. This wonderful tour offers you a unique food and wine experience, with many wineries specializing in the foods of the region at the cellar door and adjacent eateries.
DAY 18 in Melbourne
Today is yours to spend at leisure in this beautiful and diverse city prior to tomorrow’s departure.
DAY 19 departure from Melbourne, Australia(Breakfast included today)
Today you will be met at your accommodation and privately transferred to the Melbourne International Airport. From Melbourne you will farewell Australia and board your flight home.
